Seeking Public Assistance - Commercial Break and Enters

The Calgary Police Service is seeking public assistance in a series of commercial break and enters dating back to 2010.

Since 2010, it is believed that there have been more than 50 occurrences of commercial property break and enter and thefts across the city that have similar descriptions in how access is gained, and the description of an alleged culprit(s).

Investigators believe the culprit(s) targets strip malls or locations with multiple businesses in attached buildings. Access is typically gained by prying a rear door and once inside access is gained to the attached businesses by breaking through the drywall. Typically the offences have occurred in the evening or overnight hours. Investigators are working to determine if the same culprit(s) are responsible for all of the reported incidents.

An alleged suspect has been described as Caucasian, approximately 5’11” tall, 200 lbs., with short blond thinning hair that is balding in the back, and clean shaven.

Photos of a man who may have more information can be found on the Calgary Police Service Facebook page.

Anyone who may have any information is asked to call police at 403-266-1234 or Crime Stoppers anonymously using any of the following methods:
