Seeking Public Assistance - Bank Robbery

The Calgary Police Service is seeking public assistance to identify a man believed to be connected to a robbery that occurred in September 2014.

At approximately 3:20 p.m., on Monday, Sept. 8, 2014, an unknown man entered the Royal Bank in the 4900 block of 8 Street S.W. Once inside, he approached a teller and produced a note demanding money. He was given an undisclosed amount of money before fleeing the bank. No one was injured during the robbery.

The man is described as being black, 20 to 25 years old, approximately 5’ 11” tall, 190 lbs., with a slim build and dark hair that curled out of the back of a hat. He was wearing blue coveralls, a fluorescent orange and yellow safety vest, a dark-coloured backpack and a ball cap. Photos of the man are available on The City of Calgary Newsroom.
