Seeking Public Assistance - Bank Robbery
The Calgary Police Service is seeking public assistance following a bank robbery earlier today.
At approximately 12:05 p.m., on Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2013, a bank robbery occurred at the Alberta Treasury Branch in the 2100 block of 34 Avenue S.W.
During the robbery, a masked man brandished a knife and made a demand for money. The man was given an undisclosed amount of money and fled from the bank on foot into the community of Garrison Woods.
The suspect is described as Caucasian, in his late 20s to early 30s, 6’ tall, 170 to 200 pounds, with a slim to medium build. He was wearing a dark hoodie pulled over his head, a black mask, jeans and runners.
