Seeking Public Assistance - Bank Robbery

The Calgary Police Service is seeking public assistance in relation to a bank robbery that occurred earlier today.

At approximately 9:40 a.m., today, Monday, March 16, 2015, a man entered the Scotiabank located in the 200 block of 61 Avenue S.W. Once inside he approached a teller and presented a note demanding money. The man fled the bank with an undisclosed amount of money. No one was injured as a result.

The man is described as Aboriginal, in his mid-20s, 5’9” tall, weighing approximately 240 lbs., with a large build and dark, tanned skin. He was wearing a grey hooded jacket with a full zippered front, and a dark-coloured hoody underneath. He also wore large-framed sunglasses, dark pants and light-coloured shoes.
