Seeking public assistance - Arson

The Calgary Police Service is seeking public assistance for information in relation to an arson that occurred in April.

At approximately 1:40 a.m., on Saturday, April 18, 2015, emergency crews were called to the 2800 block of Morley Trail NW for reports of a fire at a hair salon within a strip mall.  The fire caused significant damage to the business and was extinguished by CFD.

Upon further investigation by the Arson Unit, it is believed an accelerant was used to start the fire.

CCTV from the area was obtained and shows three suspicious people loitering around the area prior to the fire and then running from the scene immediately after the fire is started. All three appear to be males in their late teens. Video is available on The City of Calgary Newsroom.
