Seeking additional witnesses in 2013 homicide

The Calgary Police Service is seeking public assistance to identify two individuals who may have information in relation to a deadly assault that occurred in November 2013.

The assault took place at approximately 2:45 a.m., on Saturday, Nov. 23, 2013, in the 200 block of 10 Avenue S.W., and led to the death of 18-year-old Lukas STRASSER-HIRD.

It is believed the victim was involved in two altercations prior to his death. Following the first incident, the victim and his associates were separated from the situation, but a short time later the groups re-engaged outside a downtown bar.

Several people have already been charged in connection with this homicide.

Investigators are now looking to identify two individuals who are believed to have information about the homicide. The individuals may have left in a white import car, possibly a Mitsubishi Lancer. A photograph and video of the potential witnesses are available on The City of Calgary Newsroom.

As the investigation is ongoing, detectives continue to ask witnesses to come forward and for any related photographs and videos to be made available. Any related photographs or videos can be sent to homicidetips@calgarypolice.ca. Alternatively, photographs can be provided anonymously through Crime Stoppers using their online tips form at www.calgarycrimestoppers.org.

Anyone who submits a video or photograph is asked to provide as much detail as possible, including who took it and at what time, date and location.

Detectives would like to thank the media and public for their continued assistance with this investigation.

Anyone with information about the identity of these individuals or about this case is asked to call police at 403-266-1234, or Crime Stoppers anonymously using any of the following methods:
