REMINDER: Calgary Police Service Recruiting Unit Participates in 2014 Aboriginal Awareness Week Calgary Celebrations

Members of the CPS Recruiting Unit will have a display and recruiting information available to potential candidates today, Saturday, June 21, 2014, from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., at Shaw Millennium Park for the AAWC Family Day Festival Pow Wow.

The Calgary Police Service is always looking for good candidates to join their policing family and aspire to have a police service that truly reflects the diversity of our vibrant community. During your visit take in part of Calgary’s rich Aboriginal culture. The day starts with a traditional welcome from an Elder and includes opportunities to learn about Aboriginal drumming, singing and the traditional round dance. There will also be a performance by the Black Eyed Creez, a Youth Hoops Tourney and what is hoped to be the world’s largest round dance.
