Police lay charges in Whitehorn homicide

The Calgary Police Service has formally laid charges in the Calgary’s most recent homicide.

At approximately 3:30 p.m., on Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2015, police and EMS were called to a residence in the 0-100 block of Whitmire Bay N.E. where Janel SQUIRREL, 26, of Calgary, was found deceased inside. An autopsy later confirmed that her death was a homicide.

Leo Harry PANTHERBONE, 45, of Calgary, is charged with manslaughter in relation to this homicide. He is next scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 12, 2015.
