Police lay charges in unlawful confinement and robbery

The Calgary Police Service has laid charges related to an incident of unlawful confinement and robbery.

At approximately 4 p.m., on Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2015, police were called to the 100 block of Coventry Road N.E., in response to a partially bound, injured man who had run out of a house. The victim was transported to hospital and treated for minor injuries.

Police have charged two individuals in relation to this incident. A female youth has been charged with one count of robbery, common assault and unlawful confinement. Samuel CHASE, 19, of Calgary, has been charged with one count of assault with a weapon, assault causing bodily harm, and unlawful confinement.

 

The victim, a man in his 30s, encountered the female youth on a bus where they exchanged contact information. The victim attended the residence with the intent of meeting with the female. Details of their interaction are still under investigation and no further information will be released at this time.

The investigation is in its early stages and police continue to search for two additional suspects in this case.
