Police issue arrest warrants in unlawful confinement and robbery

The Calgary Police Service has laid additional charges related to an incident of unlawful confinement and robbery.

At approximately 4 p.m., on Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2015, police were called to the 100 block of Coventry Road N.E., in response to a partially bound, injured man who had run out of a house. The victim was transported to hospital and treated for minor injuries.

Police charged a female youth with one count of robbery, common assault and unlawful confinement. Samuel CHASE, 19, of Calgary, was also charged with one count of assault with a weapon, assault causing bodily harm, and unlawful confinement.

The victim, a man in his 30s, encountered the female youth on a bus where they exchanged contact information. The victim attended the residence with the intent of meeting with the female. Details of their interaction are still under investigation and no further information will be released at this time.

On Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2015, arrest warrants were issued for two additional people in connection with this investigation.

An arrest warrant was issued for Colton Eli KING, 20, of Calgary, for extortion, robbery, assault causing bodily harm, threats to cause bodily harm or death, and unlawful confinement.

An arrest warrant was also issued for Michael Warren STOFFELS, 33, of Calgary for extortion, robbery, assault, threats to cause bodily harm or death, unlawful confinement.
