Police investigating shooting in Highwood

The Calgary Police Service is investigating a shooting that occurred last night in the community of Highwood that has left one man in hospital.

At approximately 9:30 p.m., on Thursday, Oct. 15, 2015, police responded to reports of shots being fired in the 400 block of Hendon Drive N.W. When officers arrived, they found a man in his early 30s who had been shot. He was transported to Foothills Medical Centre in critical condition, but has since been upgraded to serious, but stable condition.

The investigation is ongoing but at this time police do not believe the shooting was a random attack.
