Police investigate home invasion

The Calgary Police Service Robbery Unit is investigating a home invasion that occurred earlier this week.

On Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2013 at approximately 9:50 p.m., three armed men forced their way into a home in the community of Skyview Ranch.

They accosted the homeowner and demanded money and jewellery, while ransacking the residence. The homeowner sustained minor injuries, not requiring medical treatment.

Police believe the culprits used an unknown vehicle to flee the area.

One of the suspects is described as possibly Aboriginal, approximately 5’6” tall, with green eyes, a medium build and medium complexion. He was wearing a black jacket, gloves and mask, and blue jeans. He was armed with a handgun.

The second suspect is described as 5’11” tall, with a medium build. He was wearing all black, including mask and gloves, and was armed with a knife.

The third man is descripted as approximately 5’3” tall, with a medium build. He was wearing all black, including mask and gloves, and was armed with a knife.

Investigators believe this was a targeted incident.
