Police Investigate Fatal Motorcycle Accident in SW Calgary

 

Calgary Police are currently at the scene of a serious fatal motorcycle accident in the SW. At approximately 1:00 PM a lone male motorcyclist was travelling westbound on Glenmore Trail SW near 37 Street SW when he lost control of the motorcycle. The driver was projected into the eastbound lanes and struck by motor vehicles. The driver was pronounced deceased at the scene. No other injuries are reported. Currently police have Glenmore Trail Eastbound closed at 37 Street SW and Westbound Glenmore closed at Crowchild Trail to all traffic. Also closed is 37 Street southbound at Richmond Road SW and southbound Sarcee Trail at Richmond Road. These closures will remain in effect while CPS Traffic Section members conduct their investigation. Motorists are required to find alternate routes around this area until further notice.
