Police investigate attempted abduction involving a child

The Calgary Police Service is investigating an attempted child abduction that occurred this afternoon in the community of Martindale.

At approximately 3 p.m., on Monday, Oct. 26, 2015, a child was grabbed by a male in the 6600 block of Martindale Gate N.E. After a brief struggle, the man fled on foot. The victim ran home and family contacted police.

The offender is described as a white male, approximately 20 years old, between 5'8" and 5'10" tall, with a slim build. He was wearing blue jeans, a yellow shirt, and a green hoodie that was unzipped.
