Police charge man with bank robbery

The Calgary Police Service has charged one man in relation to a bank robbery that took place last month.

At approximately 1:45 p.m., on Sunday, Oct. 18, 2015, a male suspect entered the BMO branch located in the 6500 block of Macleod Trail S.W. He approached the teller and demanded money. He was given an undisclosed amount of cash and then fled the premises.

No one was injured and no property was damaged as a result of the robbery.

On Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2015, officers arrested James Leo SHORT, 31, of Calgary, without incident in southeast Calgary. He was charged with one count of robbery. SHORT is next scheduled to appear in court on Thursday, Nov. 12, 2015.
