Person of interest - Fatal hit-and-run

The Calgary Police Service is questioning a person of interest following a fatal hit-and-run.

At approximately 11:15 p.m., yesterday, Monday, July 27, 2015, a woman was crossing the street at a marked crosswalk at Centre Street North and 43 Avenue, when she was struck by a southbound vehicle. The vehicle did not remain at the scene.  

The victim, 33, was transported to hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries.

Through investigation of the scene and debris left behind, the vehicle, a silver Buick Regal, was located in the 6400 block of 4 Street N.E. a few hours later.
