Pedestrian vs Vehicle injury collision - 3300 block Catalina Boulevard NE

At approximately 4 pm on Monday June 8th 2015, a serious injury collision occurred in the 3300 block of Catalina Boulevard NE, Calgary.

A 9 year old pedestrian attempted to cross Catalina Boulevard from the east curb to the west curb between two parked vehicles.

A silver Toyota Camry operated by a male was travelling northbound Catalina Boulevard.  Shortly after entering the roadway, the pedestrian was struck by the Toyota Camry.

The male driver of the Toyota failed to render assistance and fled the scene in the Toyota Camry to an address a short distance away.

Officers were able to locate the involved vehicle and a male was taken into custody for questioning and released pending further investigation.

The Victim was transported to the Alberta Children’s Hospital and is currently listed in serious condition.

The Calgary Police Service Traffic Section is investigating and is asking for anyone that may have witnessed the collision to contact the Traffic Office at 403-567-4000
