Pedestrian Collision

The Calgary Police Service is currently investigating a serious, single-vehicle collision.

On Thursday, April 25, 2013, just after 11 a.m., police were called to the intersection of Shawville Gate S.E. and Shawville Boulevard S.E. for reports of a collision between a single vehicle and two pedestrians.

One adult and one toddler were taken to hospital in critical condition, while one other adult received minor injuries.

The area surrounding the scene of the collision was shut down for a period of time while the Traffic Unit investigated. The cause of the collision is not known at this time, however alcohol and speed are not believed to be factors.
