Operation Leads to Drug Seizure
The Calgary Police Service has charged several people following an investigation into a dial-a-dope operation.
On Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2014, members of the Drug Unit concluded an eight-month probe into the trafficking of MDMA, also known as ecstasy, marijuana, and cocaine. It’s alleged the men were involved in selling drugs throughout Calgary.
Three homes, located in Forest Lawn, Penbrooke and Scarboro, were searched during the investigation, and as a result drugs and paraphernalia were located.
In total, officers seized more than 900 grams of MDMA worth $55,000, 355 grams of cocaine worth $35,000, and 400 grams of marijuana worth nearly $4,000.
Three men, Tyler Scott HADAY, 24, Kristopher James RAE, 25, and Daniel Eric THERIAULT, 26, face more than 40 drug-related charges in connection with the case.
HADAY is next scheduled to appear in court on Monday, March 31, 2014. RAE and THERIAULT are next scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday, April 8, 2014.
