Online police information checks now available to Calgarians

The Calgary Police Service online Police Information Check system, ePIC, is now available for applicants. The first of its kind in Canada, ePIC provides an online process for individuals and organizations to apply for, receive, and manage Police Information Check results.

ePIC enhances the individual’s Police Information Check experience allowing them to process the Police Information Check from the comfort of their own home.

Offering a secure application process, users will have the opportunity to share their results with multiple stakeholders, allowing for less time delays, reduced associated costs, and the potential to speed up their placement in employment positions, volunteer roles and educational programs.

The online system will go through a series of verification checks to ensure privacy and accuracy is maintained. Completed Police Information Checks will only be shared with agencies pending approval from the applicant.

ePIC assists organizations in the not-for-profit, business, education and healthcare sectors who rely heavily on Police Information Checks for the delivery of accurate and timely information. The new system allows for agencies and businesses to monitor application processing dates and manage or track shared applicant results.
