At approximately 10:45 a.m., today, Sunday, Oct. 27, 2013, police were called to Abbeydale Drive for reports that an unknown gold coloured Jeep Grand Cherokee followed a vehicle. The driver of the vehicle heard what he believed was a gun shot and pulled over to inspect his vehicle where he discovered a single bullet hole in the trunk of his vehicle.
While maintaining scene continuity on the vehicle, an officer witnessed a non-injury collision involving a gold, Jeep Grand Cherokee in the 0-100 block of Abbercove Way. Two occupants of the vehicle were taken into custody.
Shortly there after, police received multiple reports of both vehicles and residences within the communities of Abbeydale and Malborough Park, that may have been struck by gunfire. No injuries were reported as a result.
