On-ramp temporarily closed due to single vehicle collision

The on-ramp from westbound Glenmore Trail onto northbound Deerfoot Trail S.E. will be closed while the road is cleaned up after an incident involving a dump truck.

At approximately 8:45 a.m. this morning, Monday, Sept. 9. 2013, a large truck carrying asphalt rolled while attempting to negotiate the ramp.

The driver of the vehicle was treated at the scene for minor injuries. There were no other vehicles involved in the incident.

The ramp is currently closed while the truck is towed and crews remove the spilled asphalt from the area. The ramp is expected to open later this morning.

The Calgary Police Service continues to investigate.
