Nighttime Break-in

The Calgary Police Service is investigating a nighttime break and enter that occurred in the community of Erin Woods.

On Saturday, July 5, 2014, at approximately 4 a.m., an individual broke into a home on Erin Meadow Crescent S.E., by prying open a basement window.

After rummaging through an unoccupied room, the suspect entered the room of a male resident. The victim awoke and yelled at the suspect, who ran out the front door of the home and fled the area in an unknown direction.

The Calgary Police Service is concerned anytime someone attempts to enter an occupied residence, especially at night.

Calgarians are reminded to ensure their homes are always secured, regardless of whether or not their residence is occupied, and to immediately report any suspicious activity to police.
