Monterey Park Suspicious Death Investigation

The Calgary Police Service is currently investigating a suspicious death after a shooting in the city’s northeast.

At approximately 2:30 p.m., on Sunday, Dec. 13, 2015, police were called to the 100 block of Del Ray Rd. N.E. for reports of a shooting and one person possibly injured. The victim has since died and the homicide unit is investigating.

At this time, the shooting does not appear to be random.

An autopsy is scheduled for Monday, Dec. 14, 2015. It is anticipated that no further information will be released until after the autopsy.
