Man in custody for northwest shooting

The Calgary Police Service can confirm Ulises Boris QUINTEROS, 51, has been arrested in Ontario.

At approximately 4 a.m., Sunday, Aug. 24, 2014, police were called to the 0 -100 block of Tuscany Springs Hill N.W., where a woman had been shot.

The victim was taken to hospital where she remains in critical but stable condition.

QUINTEROS is charged with:

• Attempted murder
• Pointing a firearm
• Discharge of firearm with intent to wound, maim, disfigure
• Choking with intent
• Break and enter with the intent to harass

Details are still being worked out for QUINTEROS to be transferred to Calgary.
