Man charged with criminal harassment

The Calgary Police Service has arrested and charged a man in connection with a criminal harassment investigation that was coordinated by the Domestic Conflict Unit Habitual Offender Management and Enforcement (HOME) team.

 

On Saturday, Oct. 5, 2013, with the assistance of uniform and canine officers, a man was arrested in northwest Calgary in connection with a number of incidents starting in April 2013. It is alleged the suspect followed and harassed two adult females around the Northland Village Mall and Market Mall areas.

 

Steven MOLNAR, 42, is charged with three counts of criminal harassment, two counts of possession of stolen property and 12 counts of breach of probation.

He has been remanded in custody and his next court date is scheduled for Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2013.

The function of the Domestic Conflict Unit is to investigate cases of family / domestic / relationship violence, criminal harassment and stalking that are high risk and / or chronic in nature.  As part of the Domestic Conflict Unit, the HOME team has a mandate to incorporate enforcement and investigative strategies to proactively target and monitor identified habitual domestic violence offenders.
