Man Charged in Connection with Skyview Ranch Incident

The Calgary Police Service has charged a man in connection with a forcible confinement incident where a woman was held against her will.

On Wednesday, July 10, 2013, officers were called to a business in the 0-100 block of Skyview Ranch Road N.E., for reports of a woman who alleged she’d escaped after being held captive in a nearby home.

The 27-year-old victim was able to direct officers to a home in the 200 block of Skyview Springs Garden N.E., where she claimed to have been held for up to three weeks. It’s also alleged the victim was assaulted both physically and sexually during this time.

Police attended the home in question and arrested a 28-year-old man without incident.

Troy Jordan LEMKE, 28, of Calgary, has been charged with uttering threats, assault, assault causing bodily harm, sexual assault and forcible confinement.

The victim and the accused in this case are known to each other and had been in a domestic partnership earlier this year. The investigation continues.
