Man Arrested in Connection with Homicide

The Calgary Police Service has arrested a man wanted in connection with a recent homicide.

James Allan CHRISTIANS, 65, was arrested at approximately 1:15 p.m., today, Friday, Oct. 18, 2013, at a gas station at 37 Street and Richmond Road S.W.

CHRISTIANS is charged with second-degree murder, aggravated assault and possession of a weapon in connection with the stabbing death of his estranged wife, Carmel CHRISTIANS.

The CPS would like to thank the public and the media for their assistance in this case. Officers received dozens of tips regarding CHRISTIANS’ whereabouts and are grateful for the help.
