Malborough Park Shooting

The Calgary Police Service Guns and Gangs Unit is currently investigating after a man was shot in the community of Malborough Park last night.

Just before 8:30 p.m., on Wednesday, Nov. 4, 2015, police were called for reports of multiple gun shots in the 100 block of Madeira Road N.E. Upon arrival, one man was found injured and transported to hospital with minor injuries.

Investigators believe the victim was sitting in a vehicle parked on a driveway when another vehicle approached. A man got out of the approaching vehicle and fired numerous shots at the victim before fleeing the scene.

This is believed to be a targeted attack as a result of a dispute between individuals over drugs. The victim is not being cooperative with investigators at this time.

The vehicle carrying the suspect is described as a blue, BMW X5.

Two vehicles were struck by bullets and police are asking residents in the area to check their vehicles and homes for any indication of gunshots.

Anyone who may have information about this incident, the identity or location of the vehicle involved, or who may have found evidence of gunshots in their property is asked to contact the Calgary Police Service non-emergency line at 403-266-1234, or Crime Stoppers using any of the following methods:
