Late Night Shooting

The Calgary Police Service is investigating a shooting that took place late last night.

On Sunday, Oct. 5, 2014, at approximately 11:15 p.m., police received reports of shots fired at a bar in the 1400 block of 52 Street N.E.

One man had been shot and was suffering from non-life-threatening injuries, while a woman received a minor injury from broken glass.

It is believed there was an earlier altercation in the bar, and a group of patrons were asked to leave.

Some time later, the victim was shot, and bullets also entered the bar.

Investigators are working to determine the exact sequence of events, and whether the victim was shot inside or outside of the establishment.

The investigation is ongoing and officers are working to determine how many suspects were involved.
