July photo enforcement locations

In response to community needs identified through statistical analysis, collisions, and citizen concerns, mobile photo radar will be set up on Crowchild Trail, Deerfoot Trail, Barlow Trail, Stoney Trail, Macleod Trail, Sarcee Trail and Glenmore Trail.

Photo radar will be focusing on the communities of Alberta Park/Radisson Heights, Altadore, Alyth/Bonnybrook, Auburn Bay, Banff Trail, Brentwood, Bridlewood, Canyon Meadows, Cedarbrae, CFB Lincoln Park, Charleswood, Citadel, Collingwood, Copperfield, Crescent Heights, Dalhousie, Douglasdale/Douglasglen, Dover, East Fairview Industrial, East Shepard Industrial, Elbow Park, Erin Woods, Evergreen, Falconridge, Foothills Industrial, Forest Lawn, Glamorgan, Glenbrook, Glendale/Killarney/Glengarry, Greenview Industrial, Haysboro, Highwood, Killarney/Glengarry, Lakeview, Manchester, Marlborough, Marlborough/Forest Heights, McCall Park, McKenzie Towne, Monterey Park, Montgomery, New Brighton, North Haven, Oakridge, Panorama, Redstone, Richmond, Riverbend, Rocky Ridge, Roxboro, Rundle, Rutland Park, Sage Hill, Scenic Acres, Signal Hill, Skyview Ranch, South Calgary, Southbend Business Park, Springbank Hill, Taradale, Temple, Tuxedo, University Heights, Varsity, West Hillhurst, Whitehorn, Wildwood, Willow Park, Windsor Park, Winston Heights/Mountview, and Woodbine.  

During the summer months photo radar will also be providing support in construction zones on major high speed roadways.

As well as photo radar, there are 51 Intersection Safety Camera (ISC) locations throughout the city. These cameras can photograph vehicles entering the intersections during all phases of the signal, including red light infractions.

These cameras continue to reduce collisions and foster a safer driving environment at our intersections.

The speed on green initiative uses up to 46 of these ISC locations to capture vehicles that speed through green and yellow lights. Speeding fines reflect how fast you are travelling over the limit. Speeds in excess of 50 km/hr over the speed limit result in an appearance before a judge.

These drivers not only put themselves in danger, but they also endanger the lives of others.
