Impaired driving charges
The Calgary Police Service Traffic Section has charged a man in relation to a collision that occurred last weekend.
On Saturday, Oct. 12, 2013, at approximately 2 a.m., emergency personnel responded to a serious-injury collision at the intersection of Macleod Trail and 71 Avenue South.
A southbound 2006 Ford Escape had collided with several vehicles that had been sitting at the light at 71 Avenue. The 58-year-old male driver of a 1994 Nissan Maxima was transported to hospital, where he remains.
On Tuesday, October 15, 2013, Alix Teagan JOHNSTON, 19, of Calgary, was charged with impaired driving causing bodily harm, impaired driving over .08 causing bodily harm and dangerous operation of a motorized vehicle causing bodily harm.
