Homicide Victim Identified

Following an autopsy by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, the victim from yesterday’s suspicious death has been identified and the death has been deemed a homicide.

At approximately 12:30 p.m., on Thursday, June 4, 2015, police were called to the pathway under the 5 Avenue Flyover bridge near the intersection of Riverfront Avenue S.E. and 4 Street S.E.  A man was found deceased at the location.

The victim has been identified as Ryan Edward DELVE, 43. Cause of death is not being released at this time.

Investigators continue to interview numerous witnesses and associates, as well as review CCTV. Anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area between midnight and noon on Thursday is asked to contact police.

This is Calgary’s 11th homicide of 2015.
