Homicide Update: Person of Interest Identified

Thanks to tips from the public, the Calgary Police Service has identified a man who was sought as a person of interest in a recent homicide investigation. The man is currently being interviewed by investigators. As no charges have been laid, his name is not being released at this time.

The Calgary Police Service is seeking public assistance to identify and locate a man wanted as a person of interest in an ongoing homicide investigation.

The man was seen with homicide victim Dawns BAPTISTE, 31, in the hours prior to her death.

Detectives would like to speak with the man about BAPTISTE's death. 

BAPTISTE was located by a member of the public just after 3 p.m., on Thursday, Feb. 12, 2015. Her body was found in a yard in the 0 to 100 block of Whitworth Road N.E. Police are not releasing the cause of her death, but have ruled it a homicide - Calgary's fifth of 2015.

Officers continue to ask the public to assist in providing information about BAPTISTE's whereabouts in the hours leading up to her death.
