Homicide Unit Investigates Double Fatality

The Calgary Police Service Homicide Unit is currently investigating the deaths of two women following an incident in the southeast.

At approximately 6:30 p.m., today, Sunday, May 4, 2014, police were called for reports of a stabbing at a home in the 6400 block of Penbrooke Drive S.E. When officers arrived they found one woman in her 30s already deceased. A second woman, also in her 30s, was transported to hospital where she later died.

A  third woman was taken to hospital in non life-threatening condition.

The suspect fled the scene and was later located and arrested. 

This incident is not considered random.
