Homicide Investigation

The Calgary Police Service Homicide Unit has been called to investigate the death of a man earlier this evening.

Just before 9 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 22, 2015, police were called to the 7000 block of California Blvd N.E. for reports of a man found injured on a driveway. It is believed the man had been shot. He was taken to hospital in life-threatening condition, but succumbed to his injuries a short time later. 

There is nothing to indicate this was a random attack. No one is currently in custody and investigators are working to determine a suspect description.

The autopsy is expected to be scheduled for early in the coming week.
