Homicide Investigation - Woman Found

A woman sought in connection to an ongoing homicide investigation has been located.

Homicide Investigation 

The Calgary Police Service is seeking public assistance to locate a woman who may have information in relation to a homicide that occurred over the weekend.

At approximately 8 a.m., Saturday, April 18, 2015, police were called to the 10300 block of Macleod Trail S.W., for reports of a man in medical distress. When officers arrived, they found a man believed to be in his 40s, lying in a parking lot. He was declared deceased at the scene.

An autopsy is currently under way to determine the cause of death. The victim has been identified as Rodney CONWAY, 44, of Calgary.

Investigators are hoping to speak to a 20-year-old woman who may have information that could assist in the ongoing investigation. A photo of the woman can be found on The City of Calgary Newsroom.

Early this morning, Monday, April 20, 2015, a number of people were detained from a hotel located on Sunridge Boulevard N.E. in relation to the investigation. They have since been released. Another man was taken into custody short time later from the same hotel; he has also since been released.

This is Calgary’s 8th homicide of 2015.
