Home Invasion

The Calgary Police Service is investigating a violent home invasion that occurred early this morning.
 
At around 4:45 a.m., today, Friday, March 29, 2013, police were called to a residence in the 500 block of 68 Street S.E.
 
Investigators are still in the early stages of their investigation and still need to interview additional witnesses and victims. However, it appears at this point that several offenders entered the house armed with weapons. 
 
A family dog attempted to defend the occupants and was killed. Specific details about the dog cannot be released at this time, however it is possible one or more of the suspects were bitten.
