Home Invasion Investigation

The Calgary Police Service is currently investigating a night time break and enter that occurred while a family was at home in their beds in Applewood early this morning.

At approximately 2:20 a.m., today, Sunday, May 24, 2015, police were called to a residence in the 400 block of Applewood Place S.E. following reports that a man entered the home through a window.
 
Once inside, the man entered the master bedroom where he woke a resident while rifling through a dresser. The man then approached the 49-year-old female with a knife and demanded the bracelet off her wrist. The culprit then left the residence. 

The Calgary Police Service reminds residents to remain vigilant about securing their homes at night. Especially as the weather warms and windows are more likely to be left open.
