Hit and Run Involving Cyclist

The Calgary Police Service is seeking public assistance to identify and locate the driver of a vehicle who struck and seriously injured a cyclist before leaving the scene.

Just after 8 a.m. on Monday, March 30, 2015, a 50-year-old man was riding his bicycle eastbound on Center Avenue N.E., just east of 19 Street N.E., when he was struck from behind by a car. The driver of the car continued towards Barlow Trail N.E. and made no attempt to stop.

The cyclist was transported to hospital with significant injuries.

The vehicle is described as a small, medium to dark grey, four-door car, with damage to the front passenger side.

The driver is believed to be female.
