High Risk Offender wanted on warrants

The Calgary Police Service is seeking public assistance to locate a high risk offender who is wanted on warrants.

Kevin Ronald BROOKS, 28, was released into the Calgary area on Tuesday, June 23, 2015, after serving a seven-year federal prison sentence for manslaughter.

BROOKS is currently wanted on three warrants for failing to comply with conditions of his release by not residing at an approved location, failing to abide by a daily curfew check and not wearing a court approved electronic monitoring device.

In the early hours of Friday, Sept. 4, 2015, officers attended his approved residence when an alarm sounded to indicate his monitoring device had been removed. They were unable to locate BROOKS who has not been seen since.

BROOKS also has a history of violent offences. He has been violent against strangers, people known to him and peace officers. His past offences have been committed in Edmonton, Drumheller and Saint John, NB.

BROOKS is described as Caucasian, approximately 160 pounds, 6’ tall, with brown hair and brown eyes. He also has multiple tattoos, including one around his neck, and tear drops by the corner of his right eye.

A photo of BROOKS is available on The City of Calgary Newsroom.

Members of the public are advised that the intent of the process is to enable members of the public to take suitable precautionary measures and not to embark on any form of vigilante action.

Anyone who has information about the whereabouts of BROOKS is asked to call police at 403-266-1234 or Crime Stoppers anonymously using any of the following methods:
