High Risk Offender Released

In the interest of public safety, the Calgary Police Service is issuing the following public information and warning in regards to the release of an inmate.

David Emmanuel KEMATCH, 27, was released into the Calgary area yesterday, Tuesday, July 7, 2015, after serving an eight-year prison sentence for sexual assault. The sexual assault occurred on an adult female who was unknown to KEMATCH.

The public is warned that KEMATCH has a history of violent offences.

KEMATCH will be monitored by the Calgary Police Service High Risk Offender Program.

KEMATCH is approximately 160 pounds, 5’8” tall, with black hair and brown eyes.

The Calgary Police Service is issuing this information and warning after careful deliberation and consideration of all related issues, including privacy concerns, in the belief that it is clearly in the public interest to inform the members of the community of the release of KEMATCH.

Members of the public are advised that the intent of the process is to enable members of the public to take suitable precautionary measures and not to embark on any form of vigilante action.
