Gun and Body Armour Seized by Police

The Calgary Police Service has charged a local man following a targeted operation into drug trafficking in District 4.
 
Following a two-week operation, members of the District Operations Team executed four search warrants on Tuesday, March 19, 2013. The warrants included a home in the 0-100 block of Applebrook Circle S.E., as well as three vehicles - a 2006 Hummer, 2006 Chevrolet Impala and a 2006 Freightliner truck.
 
Items seized include various amounts of cocaine, MDMA, unknown pills, drug packaging materials and cash. A 9-mm replica handgun, bear spray, ammunition, as well as a ballistic vest were also seized.
 
Kiai Ngahu MUCIIRI, 29, of Calgary is charged with eight drug and weapons-related offences. He also faces a charge of unlawfully possessing body armour.
