Freezin' For A Reason Polar Plunge
More than 60 people are Freezin’ For A Reason this weekend in the 2nd Annual Alberta Law Enforcement Torch Run Polar Plunge in support of Special Olympics.
Dozens of law enforcement officers and members of the public will be dipping into the frigid waters of Arbour Lake this Sunday, March 16, 2014, with proceeds going towards some of our province’s most special athletes.
This is the second time Alberta Law Enforcement Torch Run has held a polar plunge event in Calgary.
Between 12 p.m. and 4 p.m., members of the public are invited to come out to Arbour Lake, 12 Arbour Lake Drive N.W., and for a $100 donation join with the bravest of the brave by plunging onto the chilly water.
Too chicken to plunge? You can still support your local Special Olympics program. A $50 gets you a “Too Chicken to Plunge” T-shirt.
