Fraud Prevention Month: Free Electronic Recycling Day

Members of the public are urged to bring any unwanted electronic equipment to Chinook Centre tomorrow for a free recycling event as part of Fraud Prevention Month.

Partners in Fraud Prevention Month will have booths on display in the Centre Court of Chinook Centre on Thursday, March 12, 2015, to speak to any member of the public interested in learning more about fraud and how to protect themselves. This includes demonstrations and displays by:

  • Service Alberta
  • Better Business Bureau
  • Alberta Security Commission
  • AMA
  • RCMP
  • Bank of Canada
  • Alberta Community Crime Prevention Association
  • Real Estate Council
  • Calgary Police Service

The Electronic Recycling Association will also be on hand to take any unwanted computers, phones, CDs/DVDs, zip drives, or any other electronic data storage devices. Citizens are encouraged to drop off their equipment for recycling free of charge at the ERA booth.

A media availability notice will follow in a separate advisory.
