Four Charged in Dial-a-Dope Operation

Four men have been charged in connection with a drug trafficking operation based in the southeast.

On Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2013, police executed a search warrant at a home in the 1300 block of 41 Street S.E. Two vehicles, a 2005 Cadillac Escalade and a 2004 Chevrolet Impala were also searched.

In total, investigators seized 24 grams of crack cocaine worth $2,400, a small quantity of marijuana, and more than $18,000 in cash. Drug paraphernalia, packing material, bear spray and a machete were also seized from the home.

“We believe this was a very active dial-a-dope drug operation,” said District 4 Staff Sgt. Geoff Gawlinski. “Our investigation was a direct result of concerns expressed by the community, and we are pleased we’ve been able to make arrests in this case.”

Four men were arrested inside the home at the time of the warrant.

Malow Diew LONG, 26, Leyley Peter PAL, 26, David Reat SANTINO, 25, and Tang KUOTH, 29, are charged with 18 drug-related offences.
