Fatal hit-and-run

The Calgary Police Service is investigating an early morning fatal hit-and-run.

At approximately 3:30 a.m. this morning, Wednesday, March 18, 2105, officers responded to a call of a female victim found deceased in the westbound lane of 16 Avenue and 5 Street N.E.

The injuries she sustained are consistent with being struck by a vehicle.

The Traffic Section remains on scene and the area will be closed for several hours.
