Early Morning Suspicious Package Call to Old City Hall

Calgary police have completed the suspicious package call at Old City Hall that came in earlier this morning.

At approximately 7:30 a.m., this morning police responded to reports of a suspicious package outside Old City Hall. As a precautionary measure, all vehicular and pedestrian traffic in the area was closed. Additionally, both City Hall CTrain platforms were closed.

The CPS Tactical Team responded to the area and performed an x-ray and physical examination of the package. It was determined to be a backpack containing clothing and personal items.

The area has been re-opened to regular traffic and both CTrain stations are operational.
