Early Morning Collision

The Calgary Police Service is investigating following a two-vehicle collision that left a man with serious injuries.

At approximately 7:30 a.m., on Friday Nov. 15, 2013, emergency crews responded to a crash in the 5600 block of Country Hills Boulevard N.E. Investigators believe a 2002 Honda Odyssey minivan, being driven by a 46-year-old man, was westbound on Country Hills Boulevard when it failed to navigate around road construction. The vehicle then struck a semi-truck head-on, causing significant damage to both vehicles.

The driver of the minivan suffered serious injuries, while the driver of the semi was uninjured. Neither alcohol nor speed appears to be factors in the collision.
