Death Investigation

The Calgary Police Service is currently investigating the death of a man found in a tree.

At approximately 2:45 p.m., today, Wednesday, March 25, 2015, police were called to a residence in the 9800 block of Alberni Road S.E. where a resident living in the area spotted what appeared to be a man in a tree. The man was determined to be deceased.

The Calgary Fire Department was called in to assist with recovery of the body.

At this time, investigators believe the death not to be suspicious in nature, however, formal cause of death and identification of the individual will be determined by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner. An autopsy is expected to take place in the next few days.
